I was flying on GAW earlier, and it was overcast as usual, glum gray. But my mirror images were showing a bright sunny day, I even had a sun reflection in the cockpit when the sun was nowhere to be seen.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

Yep, thats the case here as well.

I saw it in multiplayer on GAW predominantly. Its not DCS wide, as I use other planes where it doesn't happen. Don't know about MP/SP though.

Just tried a few modules, and shadow settings. Makes no difference. Its simply just the mirror that is rendering differently. Cloud cover base, sun angle, sun direction make the difference. But also the given modules canopy opacity/darkness, like the Mirage, it has a fairly dark canopy, and therefor the bright terrain is less pronounced.

These shots are just the last settings, in VR, where I tried without any shadows.

Can see witht he Mirage, the difference the canopy darkness makes, where Im 'sitting' so high in the shot that the canopy clips in the mirror. Also with F-18 and Viggen, its different in left and right mirror, due to sun direction.
