DERacing Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 I was flying in 107th West last night and noticed something strange. It seems that the cockpit is locked with the O+ now. If I lean in to look closer at something in the cockpit, the cockpit moves with the head movement. Not sure what I have done to get this to set this way. Its strange. If I tilt my head left or right the pit tilts as well. I am able to look out the pit and turn without an issue. Any of you brilliant minds have any idea what could cause this? FoxTwo Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Just a bug, happens to me sometimes the tracking gets screwed up. Restarting steam VR/the game usually takes care of it. Make sure you've got adequate light in your room when you're starting VR and that your monitor isn't the primary light source.
Thick8 Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 Either turn on the lights in the room or re-configure your seated boundary. I always start DCS from the cliffhouse. Strikeeagle345 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 To fix this while in game: 1) make sure you have enough light first ( if this doesn't fix it over a few moments go to step two) 2) Alt-Tab to the Mixed Reality Portal window. 3) Click on the buttons on the left that will allow you to setup your room scale / seated position. (I use seated as I only use DCS) 4) setup your HMD for seated position. You will see a button that says "Center". Sit up straight and click it. 5) your HMD should now be tracking normally. Harlikwin Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Man this makes me think twice about buying a WMR headset in the future. Any comments on how bad WMR is vs Occulus software? I had both Rift and WMR, doesn't bother me any. This is few and far between issue. If you have enough light, you wont ever have it happen. Any comment on CPU overhead between the two, I heard WMR was worse. But is it a case of 1% vs 2%? I.e. something thats technically worse but practically no one notices?
