colubridae Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 Is it possible (somehow), when an inbound aircraft calls Stennis ATC with 'inbound', to then turn the ship 'into the wind...' please :)

CBStu Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 I was using the standard mission for landing practice. But I got tired of the ship being hard to see, clouds in the way, and the reflections from the sun in my view. So I broke down and created my own mission. I have the ship on a heading of 270 deg and am doing it at 10AM. So I have the sun mostly behind me and the Stennis is a lot easier to see. Took a while to get it to work correctly but I like it. I also set both ICLS and Tacan on channel 1 so no need to type in a channel as 1 is always on the display. Just hit 'on' and then 'enter'.

Wrench Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 I've written a script to do just this. Have a look at the link in my signature. Carrier Script.
