Eagle7907 Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 (edited) Stupid question about autothrottle I think it’s for landing only. I’m not entirely sure, but the jet has to be in landing configuration. (Gear down, landing flaps down) Edit from NATOPS: So, unless the gear is down, maybe the sim is detecting a slight throttle movement and is causing it to revert to boost. That’s my final answer. Larkis Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 My experience: Gear down, landing flaps, speed on 150kn down, Nose up on 5 deg and then activate Autothrottle. Works everytime.
Jabbers_ Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Fairly certain AutoThrottle puts on on speed and keeps you there. That way you just control your descent with pitch and it will "auto" throttle to stay on speed. Twitch2DCS - Bring twitch chat into DCS. IronMike Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 that is correct. autothrottle in the Tomcat is for onspeed landing configurations only and not to be confused with autothrust, as some other jets offer it. In normal cruise configurations it will not work. 1 Heatblur Simulations Please feel free to contact me anytime, either via PM here, on the forums, or via email through the contact form on our homepage. http://www.heatblur.com/ https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
