Shortcut Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 (edited) I just completed the latest Up Date and DCS Keeps crashing. I dig the DCS repair about 3 times and deleted the fxo and metashaders files. Every plane I try crashes after about 30 seconds of flight and that's on all 3 maps I have. I have made no changes to my system also X-Plane 11 works fine. Attached is my log file Thanks for any help Sorry this should have been put under game crashdxdiag.zip Edited May 12, 2019 by Shortcut 13700K, MSI Z690 D4 Edge wifi, Swiftech H360X3 Cooling with Corsair Water Block, Gigabyte 4090 OC, 64gb Trident Z 3600 CL16, Evga 850W G2 power supply, Moza AB9, Virpil Apha Prime, Winwing Orion 2 Viper, TM Warthog, MFG Crosswinds With Damper, TrackIR 5, HP Reverb 2, Pimax Crystal

Rudel_chw Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 The attached should be the log file. Thanks For some reason your nVidia driver is crashing, perhaps a recent windows update has affected the nvidia driver. I would try a reinstall of the most current nVidia driver. Please, let me know how it goes :) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

Rudel_chw Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Hello, It’s curious .. the specific error is now different than before, but still related to the graphics card .. dcs is the only game that is crashing? I’d like to try the following: 1) Using windows, rename /saved games/dcs.openbeta/ to /dcs.openbeta.bak/ 2) Run dcs again, this will re-create a new settings folder on /saved games/ with default values. If dcs now works ok, then the problem lies within a setting on your previous dcs.openbeta folder ... if the problem continues, then you may be having a hardware issue with your GPU. Shortcut Posted May 12, 2019 Author Posted May 12, 2019 Still crashing, I tried everything you said and I want to thank you for your help. I think there may be a problem with the AV-88 and the F-18 as I tried the A-10C and DCS Does Not Crash can fly as long as I want. Is there any way to delete the AV-88 and F-18 and then reinstall them the problem started after installing the AV-88. I ran a X-Plane 11 for almost a 1/2 hour no problem and it's pretty well maxed out in the settings also Project Cars 2 runs fine. 13700K, MSI Z690 D4 Edge wifi, Swiftech H360X3 Cooling with Corsair Water Block, Gigabyte 4090 OC, 64gb Trident Z 3600 CL16, Evga 850W G2 power supply, Moza AB9, Virpil Apha Prime, Winwing Orion 2 Viper, TM Warthog, MFG Crosswinds With Damper, TrackIR 5, HP Reverb 2, Pimax Crystal

Dinga Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Did that work?I tried a lot of of DCS fixs and none worked.I had a thought to do a windows update ,which was for two items, one display and the other net framework. Anyway that update fixed the problem as I have not had any crahes in DCS since that update.Fingers crossed it stays that way.Anyways hope you got it going again.
Shortcut Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 It's up and running. I have no idea what fixed it before I down loaded DSC I did a fresh install of windows 10. I'm happy there was no problem with my video card but as of now everything is good hope it stays that way. Rudel_chw Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I’m happy that you got it working, and it wasnt a hardware fault. Cheers.
