TheMoose Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Hi gents, Wanted to share my experience with lockon movie making. Ain't that much. But hope you enjoy it. Was made from a mission that we flew the other night with my squad, it's 20 min long and 135 meg in size. Again, I'm a amateur, fooling around in my spare time, so bare with me :D Cheers http://www.leductech.com/test1.wmv 1 Antec 900 gaming tower, PSU: Corsair 750W, Q6600, Asus P5K, 8Gig Mushkin, Nvidia eVGA 280 GTX Superclocked 1G DDR3, SSDNOW200 Kingston Drive, TrackIr 3000+Vector, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, Saitek rudder pedals pro, Sharp 42" inch LCD Aquo. OS: windows 7 64bit.
TheMoose Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 Thanks :D I admit the formation sequence is too long, the action is to short, camera angles on the action needs to be re worked. But it was a test. I need some practice, but now at least I have the CPU to encode & practice with. Gotta love Intel Quad 4 ;) Thanks again, I'm glad you liked it. Makes me want to continue. Merci :pilotfly: Antec 900 gaming tower, PSU: Corsair 750W, Q6600, Asus P5K, 8Gig Mushkin, Nvidia eVGA 280 GTX Superclocked 1G DDR3, SSDNOW200 Kingston Drive, TrackIr 3000+Vector, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, Saitek rudder pedals pro, Sharp 42" inch LCD Aquo. TheMoose Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 Thanks GA, I feel honored. True I can never can compare my work against this community, seen to much of the great stuff. Just installed and trying adobe premiere. But hanging in there, dudes, not sure if you ever heard Pink floyd with London Philharmonic Orchestra, it's just sweet melody to my ears. :D Antec 900 gaming tower, PSU: Corsair 750W, Q6600, Asus P5K, 8Gig Mushkin, Nvidia eVGA 280 GTX Superclocked 1G DDR3, SSDNOW200 Kingston Drive, TrackIr 3000+Vector, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, Saitek rudder pedals pro, Sharp 42" inch LCD Aquo. TheMoose Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 It's all about the pleasures, but I admit I need a teacher sorta of speak...;) Being a great pilot is one thing, ( true I aint that great ) but movie making is a talent all from it's own. Point me in the right directions GA, that would be greatly appreciated... ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted September 21, 2007 ED Team Posted September 21, 2007 Ok just watched it. I see you are very limited by Movie makers features, but for a movie like this, you would'nt really need any fancy features. The good stuff: - Music: Not bad, it fits the footage. Nothing special, just normal music to "guide" you through. - Some good angles were used. The stuff you should work on: - This movie is 21 minutes long. Not exciting at all (yeah im gonna be a little harsh here, but i feel i need to say it). You could've easily cut this movie down to something like 5 minutes tops. Reason why: Well, you only show formation flying. Sure its cool for you guys to watch yourself fly and compare to others maybe, but since this is a movie that you released so everyone else can watch it too, it's not very exciting to see the same angles, the same jets, the same formation over and over and for such a long period. You didn't catch my interest at all. I felt "i have seen this before...". - Like mentioned above, you need a little variation in your camera shots. You need shots where you zoom in on stuff, not just play with the camera distance. Zooming in gives a different feel. I kept seeing many shots over and over. - Low fps throughout the movie. Movie maker comes with a "speed up clip" effect, so you can easily record at half speed and speed it up to normal in movie maker. :) The low FPS in the movie totally ruined the immersion factor. Other than that, a great try at a movie, and you should keep going (hey, you ever seen my first movies? Lol, now there's a laugh). I hope you dont think im bashing you, im just giving you pointers as to how to improve your next movie (IMO of course...feel free to create whatever you want :) ). TheMoose Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 Question. Is there a way to remove the limitation of the zoom in external view? TheMoose Posted September 22, 2007 Author Posted September 22, 2007 When in external, zooming your aircraft or any object, increasing the zoom aspect, seems theres a barrier that you cannot zoom more... ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted September 23, 2007 ED Team Posted September 23, 2007 When in external, zooming your aircraft or any object, increasing the zoom aspect, seems theres a barrier that you cannot zoom more... Sorry, don't know the answer to this one. But why would you want it to zoom even further? When zoomed in max, it's VERY zoomed in. :P https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
