viper2097 Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 (edited) I'm refering to the conversation here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3897273#post3897273 As there have none answer or clarification in the thread so far, I'll asume that the probelight is missing and bring it up as a bug report. Thank you in advance for information. Edited May 23, 2019 by viper2097 Steam user - Youtube I am for quality over quantity in DCS modules
Donut Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 (edited) The following webpage mentions a small red light on the fueling probe strut and shows a photo of it. Unfortunately, the photo is in daylight. http://www.anft.net/f-14/f14-detail-light.htm Edited May 16, 2019 by =BJM= i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
FoxTwo Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 There's a red light on the fuel probe that illuminates it, did you have your exterior lights turned on? It's in the game I've seen it in the exterior view with the probe door open. Master light switch enabled?

FoxTwo Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 The bright red light is the refuel probe light. Just created a fast mission at 20:30 in the persian gulf, spawned in, turned the lights on and popped the refuel probe.
viper2097 Posted May 17, 2019 Author Posted May 17, 2019 Ok, I checked it today: Yes, the fuel probe light is there, however, it is not noticeable from the cockpit: Heatblur, could you please fine tune that? Thanks! Steam user - Youtube I am for quality over quantity in DCS modules
viper2097 Posted May 23, 2019 Author Posted May 23, 2019 The probe light is just way to weak, compare it to this footage: And thats a old video camera recording during sunset, so I would assume that it is even way more brighter then it is now in game. Heatblur, pleae fix that, thx. PS: I can't change the title of this thread anymore, I would call it now "way too dim" isntead of "missing". moonshot Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 I’m really hoping this gets fixed in 2.5.6. Been practicing night refueling and came here to ask where the probe light switch is. Combined with RAZBAM’s C-130 not turning on it’s nav lights until danger close, just making it near the basket for AAR is way more frustrating than it should be. And is this module considered complete or close to? The release was great for an early access but it doesn’t seem much progress has happened in the last 11 months.. ASUS Maximus Hero IX with i7 7700K OC’d to 4.8Ghz. EVGA 1080 ti. RAM 32GB DDR4. Old Samsung 1080p TV, hopefully VR soon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
IronMike Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Lights, or in particular, their reflections, are in general still WIP. (as in all exterior lights are too dim atm) Thank you for your patience.
