From what I saw it's pretty close to the real aircraft. In the day at least, at night I don't know.

 

The way it's implemented in the A-10C right now is unrealistic. It's way too bright, especially in the day. The Hornet has a much more realistic strobe light.

It is too weak, especially during night.

 

And depending on the reference aircraft, it blinks too slow.

Hahahahaahah, I have seen it in real life 5 feet away.

 

So have I. NAS Oceana 2010, saw plenty of Hornets there.

As I said, I can only talk about daytime. Maybe it's not accurate at night time in DCS right now. Please just keep in mind that videos you see online constitute a questionable proof on that matter.

that's in the meantime 9 years ago. Last time I saw Hornets (both night and daytime) was 1 Month ago I can assure you it's not bright enough.
