3 years later the feature is still required.

@Camble I would like to test it.

I ended up on this post looking for how to delete a lot of units and statics. My use case is I have a crowded mission with lots of templates in FOBs, airbases, etc.; and due to the performance drop on the last patches I need to remove as many units as possible.

For me, it would be perfect to been able to select with my mouse an area and maybe get a list of all units and statics in that area, order by type (ground, aircraft, helicopter, static) and select or deselect items. And then delete selected items.

Now available in 2.9.10

  • ME. Added multi-selection tool that allows to group together units, objects, trigger zones, and drawings into a larger group that can be controlled as a whole using ‘click and drag’.

Nice improvement.

Sadly it misses a chance at becoming a true super power.

I want to drag select a set of stuff in one miz and copy\paste it into another miz of the same map.  I was kinda hoping that would just magically be included.

Maybe next patch. 😉

Huh. The good: there now is a kinda-sorta multiple object select in ME.

From an UX perspective it’s an almost comically inept implementation.

if it wasn’t so sad, that is.

Seems to me that interface design and DCS simply don’t mix.
