[LATER IN EARLY ACCESS] JHMCS TGP cueing

Will the upcoming release of the litening pod come with the JHMCS cueing feature? From what I understand from natops it's as simple as setting the HMD as soi and looking at a spot to designate.

 

Maybe I'm just being naive but that doesn't sound like it would take a ton of time to code. I think it would be great to include upon release rather than going back some time in the future to get it addded in.

 

Any word on this would be appreciated. Cheers

After an in-depth long-term study on feature release history regarding this module, I would rate the probability of the event you requested as tending to zero.

To my understanding it doesn't actually cue the targeting pod, it just designates an A/G TGT which you can use alone or look at with the TGP (or HUD/HMD) to refine. So it's not exactly a targeting pod feature but an aircraft-wide feature. It probably won't be with the TGP update, IMO, unless it's mentioned specifically.

Gotcha. I just think its worth maybe poking ED about it now and who knows. Maybe they will consider it if it wouldnt take much time..

I'll be happy if i can cue mavericks to the TGP sight on first release, I'm only expecting footage and lasers to be implemented on first release, shortly followed by gps SPI's or whatever the hornet equivelant is, and hopefully not have to wait a month or two for that to be added.

It’ll be interesting to see what features the TGP has on initial release. My guess is that AA Modes and the LST function will be prime candidates for the dreaded ‘later in early access’.
