Please can you advise:

I have just Bound some Steam keys to my DCS profile.

According to the serial number checker there is a time period of (currently) 30 days associated with these keys.

What does that mean?

Will i have to re-activate every 30 days???

I was hoping that my Steam purchases are now permanently bound to my DCS Software...

I asked this a while ago and my question went unanswered for some reason. I think it auto reactivates. What really concerned me was the limit to authorizations, around 10. Idk what that means. Do I only get 10 authorizations before I have to get in touch with ED? Hopefully someone will answer is this time around....

Modules owned:

FC3, M-2000C, Mig-21bis, F-5E, AJS-37 Viggen, F/A-18C, KA-50, Mi-8, F-14A&B, JF-17

I'm not from ED, but I suggest you to take a read to the "DCS World Activation Guide" that is at the /Doc folder of your DCS program folder, where you can learn how the activation system of DCS works.

Basically, DCS needs a way to know that it has not been illegaly copied onto someone else's PC .. so, when you install the game on your PC for the first time, the software records a hardware-ID linked to your User-ID.

If you purchase a new PC, then ED expects you to perform a Deactivation procedure before disposing of the old PC, that basically unlinks your User-ID from the Hardware-ID of the old PC. Thereafter, you can activate the game on the new PC.

If you neglect to do the deactivation, the game will still let you activate on the new PC ... and you can repeat this up to 10 times ... after those 10 times, you will only get one activation every 30 days.

Read the manual .. it has more detail than I can write here.
