Cougar MFD Profiles for F/A-18C?

I apologize if there's another thread like this - if so, please provide a link and feel free to close this one - but I was wondering if someone has shared, or would be willing to share, their profiles for the Cougar MFDs and the DCS F/A-18C.

 

I have my 3 MFDs, the Buddy Fox UFC, and (inbound) a DSD Race King, but being as I'm just jumping into the 18, I have no idea where to start in regard to what needs to be mapped where (for now, I'd be happy just to figure out the MFDs).

 

Any help would be much appreciated :)

I use them pretty much straight up “As Is” in that I just programmed the corresponding OSB buttons with no regard to any specific functions.

Do you mean just mapping the Hornet buttons to the ones on the MFD OSBs, 1:1?

That’s what I did.

1:1 mapping of the buttons. A little tedious going around pushing all 20 buttons for each, but it works like a peach.

When you’re mapping controls, how do you find out which to map for secondary menus? If you’d be willing to share your Cougar MFD profiles, I would definitely be in your debt lol.

just connect your cougars, start DCS, get into a Hornet (or A-10) cockpit and you will see that everything is mapped automatically, including your frkin secondary menus :)

Must work in the current Hornet. At the first day of the EA I had to map my two Cougars one by one.

Yeah, at some point, ED made it so that if you download the modules, it maps things automatically to the TM WH. I imagine it's true for other popular HOTAs.

 

I didn't test the MFDs yet, but when it first came out, the OSB and physical buttons didn't line up. For example Cougar OSB16 --> Hornet PB1, Cougar OSB17 --> Hornet PB2, etc... So if the bug is still there, be aware.
