P51 Loss of keyboard functions and bindings

Hi All,

I've just started flying the Mustang again after several months away.

I'm running the latest update ie, 2.5.4

I've lost random key bindings like rudder, trim and F10 maps view and I've reset the key bindings

several times.

I've checked my keyboard and Hotas in other sims and they are ok.

I've also repaired dcs several times but still the same problems.

Any suggestions Please???

I just lost all of my bindings for the P-51 as well after the 2.5.5 update. I think the usual suggestion is to save your layout prior to updating, guess I should've remembered that prior to actually doing it......:doh:

Did you by any chance update your controls drivers? If you update them and internal name for the devices change DCS won't recognise any more your controls settings even if they are there and correctly saved in the Input folder (inside saved games). It's a bummer but you have to either reset everything from scratch or try to find the new device names and change that in the old settings just in case they work.

 

 

Also, if you were without flying a very very long time, there were updates to the modules so P-51 is now two different models, and some other modules either set new key bindings which is why everything had to be re-setted up. Try searching for the exact P-51 model you're trying to fly and use the same inputs you had previously (if you have them) in case they work.
