I just tried to land at Khasab and sunk through the runway... but just throttled up and flew out again.... so went straight for a mountain and went through it... I only died when I struck a world object on the other side

Yea, I had me a SA-2 missile up there last night (multiplayer). 130k feet up.

Yeah I noted several AAMs 'flying' around, underground... just check the F6 view on the multiplayer servers and you will probably see it from AI missiles flying about and so on

.... with those rockets buddy sees my who flies endless far and I see his rockets I can't see own rocket.

No, I literally started there at Khasab, loaded up with weapons, and then fell through the surface of the earth :/

 

Somewhat related to my other posts on this thread... On a server that has a lot of AI activity - firing SM-2 sams seems to be the sure-fire way - the missiles seem to ghost around - see my aim120 in space... there will be SM-2s under water and under the ground. There's no actual missile there, but you can F6 view them.

 

If you leave the server and come back, they are gone.

@NineLine - I have played the track file back myself and it doesn't replicate the behaviour in game. I am not sure if that's because its essentially a SP replay of an MP game or not.

 

You will see I look up a number of times, that's me looking up to where the 'land' is.

@NineLine ping was about 7-10ms. It was a dedicated server running in dedicated (non GUI) mode.

 

I have used the same server and not had this issue with my aircraft on other maps. It still had the ghost missile issues.

 

The common factor(so far) in the ones I had issues with, was it was raining, or a map that had rain on it- one was dynamic, one was a static storm. So far, in maps without any rain, I have not had an issue. I am not sure why rain would effect it, and I am not saying it does, but as I said, that's the only common factor I have found so far.
