support for Value Index VR headset

There are XTAL and StarVR headsets with higher specs but very expensive and not consumer oriented. There is already someone here who preordered the XTAL.

Index will likely become the standard all-around headset when it comes to consumer VR (since it is Valve’s product who originally pioneered the VR technology—although they were all ex-Microsoft guys), but if you only do sit-down sims the HP Reverb has higher resolution.

Keep in mind that Samsung will likely not sit still since their Odessey was considered the top WMR headset. They will likely announce a new headset to try to top HP at some point perhaps in the fall or before Christmas—and if they manage to release a super hi-res OLED device, I might bite. We also haven’t heard much about the new Vive Cosmos which is also coming in the fall. There will be plenty of choices if you can wait a few more months.

@supmua - waiting sux quite frankly. Still waiting for the devices I already ordered haha.

@Op - I would get something now like the O+ then wait and for more reviews on what is releasing. The O+ is very good and will only set you back $300. That is what I did and I do not regret it one bit. Having something means you can make an informed choice on what is coming out since will have a more recent experience to work with.
