[REPORTED] AIM-9 'Shoot Cue' not behaving correctly

I can't get the Shoot Cue to work in a consistent manner. When target is in range - between Rmin and Rmax - and the steering dot is within the circle, the SHOOT symbol just doesn't appear normally. (Very occasionally, if I try the same mission, it does, which is weird).

Another weird thing is that if I fire on the target, then the SHOOT cue appears on the HUD!

I have attached 2 images. The first is when the target was in range with no SHOOT, and the second was done a few seconds later after firing the AIM-9.

In the 2nd one, you can see there is a SHOOT cue, but the target is outside the Rmax.

This happens with any of the AIM-9 missions in the Missions list - Nevada, PG or Caucasus.
