AG-51_Razor Posted July 2, 2019 Posted July 2, 2019 Try this: https://www.amazon.com/Black-Aces-High-Fighter-Squadron-ebook/dp/B003JMFAUQ/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=black+aces+high&qid=1562088821&s=books&sr=1-1 I found it to be a facinating book about the Tomcat operations in the Balkans. Very enlightening! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Vino Posted May 5, 2020 Author Posted May 5, 2020 (edited) Are these a three separate stories, or a trilogy? Edited May 6, 2020 by Vino
punk Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 (edited) Are these a three separate stories, of a trilogy? Basically he breaks down different areas of his career. - Topgun Days - Mostly about his time at Topgun, first as a student and then as an instructor and some of the behind-the-scenes stories of filming THE movie - Topgun. - Before Topgun Days - Mostly about his time as a student NFO, time in the RAG and early fleet assignment. - The last Top Gun - I believe this will deal with his later career as a squadron commander and such. Don't quote me though. Don't forget about Punk's War, Punk's Wing, and Punk's Fight. It's fiction, but written by another ex-RIO, Ward Carroll. Feet Wet by Paul Gillcrist is a good read, not F-14 specific, but he did fly them at the end of his career as a Rear Admiral. Another book from the Gulf War is Angles Of Attack: An A-6 Intruder Pilot's War by Peter Hunt, I enjoyed this one as well. :punk: Edited May 5, 2020 by punk Punk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
