OK I am getting quite annoyed. I am running an older version of dcs beta 2.5.2 because I can never download enough to update. Every time i dl and install it restarts then has more 38+ gig files to download and install. It will never not ask to update to 3.5.5. or actually update to it.

" It will never not ask to update to 3.5.5" ?

Latest Open Beta Hotfix 2.5.5.33184

How much drive space do you have...? The large downloads are compressed and need to expand when finished.

The down loader should start off where it left off if interrupted. It has for me in the past.

Have you tried a clean and repair?

I have enough room left.. Have about a tb left on my games drive. It installes then goes into another update. If I had internet other than my phone right now would not be an issue, but unfortunately I dont so it takes forever to download each update. I am uninstalling stable version and only going to run Beta I think as it will free up 100+ gigs.

When updating it first upates the installer then goes into your DCS update and if you havent updated in a while it will be big download. Does it freeze up or stop downloading or are you just cancelling it?

The base install with Caucasus map and 2 free aircraft is 60 GB.

Stable and Beta

This is then linked to your account and depending purchases and the ones you install is how big the full install is, Beta or stable.

Persian Gulf map is 32 GB on it's own for an example.

I'm up to 170 GB with all the maps and most of the modules.

Neither. It just keeps downloading, unpacking and installing, then downloads more and more. It will install say 10gb then download 39gb more, then another 38, then 15. So on and on.

Hi agentdarnell

please attach your autoupdate_log.txt which can be found in your DCS root location. We may see something in them.

thanks
