Conditions to reproduce:

 

1. Have a custom payload that is the same as a default payload, just with a different name.

2. Select the custom payload in the ME, and either exit the payload screen or save the mission.

3. Click on the unit again.

 

Result: Payload has defaulted to stock payload instead of saving the custom payload.

 

"So what if you're carrying the same weapons." Well it's a bit irritating for those of us who like to make custom payloads and name them with prefixes for quick and easy sorting instead of going through the dyslexic nightmare of the default payload names.

The name of the payload used doesn't get saved in the actual mission file, just the weapon data. So it looks like it sorts alphabetically and chooses the first payload that matches with whatever is saved in the miz.

 

Could add the number 1 and a space before the name and that should put it to the top of the list. Though there is a case to be made for being able to delete default provided loadouts.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
