Hello,

I just re-installed my DCS on my new rig (haven't been fling in months). When flying in a cloud layer (DCS Caucasus map) I get graphical artefacts on the side of the canopy (see my signature for my hardware specs).

best

Karim

Can you provide more details than that? Do you have a screenshot? Are you using dynamic or static weather? Just FYI, as is, the devs would look right pass this thread.

ED is developing a new weather engine. When wags was interviewed by the air podcast last spring, he mentioned that they are doing the moisture simulation part, the base for whole weathers generation.

They are not going to improve or fix current unless it is very easy and already broken by something else accidentally.

Static weather. See screenshot of the weather conditions that triggered the artefacts. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the artefacts with screenshots: very fast white (with black lines)flashing artefacts around the canopy frame.

Can you create a short video?

You have a NVidia card, and it might be very easy using the GeForce Experience suite.

...Viggen... what more can you ask for?

I saw something like what you describe when flying online in a thunderstorm. Very fast, initially I though it might be lightning, but then I saw "real lightning" and it was something else.

New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1)

Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

I am away from my computer for a few days. I’ll try to make a movie from it.
