Longiron Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) When selecting a wp you get relevant info on top right corner. I understand the format as Bearing / range Time on target Waypoint name Fuel remaining on target And some mystery number My question is, what is the mystery number? It’s usually two digit < 20 I can’t correlate it with any other info from waypoint subpage or FPAS Also noticed FPAS fuel remaining and wp fuel remaining on target don’t agree Edited August 5, 2019 by Longiron Fat thumbs
Ramsay Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) My question is, what is the mystery number? Distance from the waypoint to begin your descent, I'm not sure it's working as intended i.e. it should be linked to Weight, DI and Altitude but IIRC, in DCS it also changes when you get closer to the Waypoint. I'm not sure if FPAS uses a Normal or Max Range descent profile. A Normal descent is : Speed Brake IN, Throttle IDLE and Speed the lesser of 0.85M/250 kts IIRC starting a 35,000 ft descent at 50 NM from a waypoint works out pretty close.
