electricaltill Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 Use the utility light (alt+L, I think) until they fix it. I can't believe it was like that in the real aircraft either.

Belives are one thing, but reality is often another thing. Would be great to get some actual confirmation. IronMike Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 I will check, but not sure if there was. The RIO would see the elevation change on the TID, which ofc is lit. One of our SMEs told us he would just have his hand on the knob and turn the wheel, adjusting fine elevation with his thumb on the vernier control and just focus on the TID and DDD to see if he could break out multiple contacts from a single TWS contact. It does not appear to me that they looked really at the elevation knob at all. EDIT: or where you talking about the indicator next to the DDD? In this case I think it is the same bug as part of the RIO lights being too dim atm, but I have to double check to make sure. I am fairly sure this is a bug, but I'll check. Thanks again for bringing it to our attention. I don't think this is the same bug, because IIRC the elevation indicator in the DCS Tomcat never ever had backlighting at all.
