RackMonkey Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 (edited) Guys :helpsmilie: I purchased an untested stick and it did turn out to be non-functional.:( I got everything back together :) except for the base DIN and it cable. Three of the pins were not in the connector and I have no idea if the other two are even in the correct place. Could somebody who has their base unit apart take a pic of the DIN cable at the PCB connector. RackMonkey Posted August 9, 2019 Author Posted August 9, 2019 Look in this topic: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2943388&postcount=113 I afraid it's no help. That's stick cabling and I need base cabling. Also, what really makes it a problem is that the PCB connector is a 6 pin but only 5 of them are used. This is one of those time when a pic is worth a thousand words. Thanks for trying. Gigabyte X670, 7800 X3D, 2X1TB NvME, RTX4090, 32GB DDR5 , Pimax Crystal

The individual black wire - more tick, is ground for DIN connector metal case. Picture show where are bolted in base. This joystick had gimbal break? This smashed wires suggest this, they came for base in middle of magnet support: http://www.simhq.com/_technology3/images/technology_174a_022.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HcQQ2QAmnQQ/UN3Le5Y2mHI/AAAAAAAAAuk/SpA8cxYH32I/s720/20121228_103934.jpg Magnet support - the "tower" in middle of cup in above picture, the "articulation sphere" of gimbal and HALL sensor PCB are OK? RackMonkey Posted August 9, 2019 Author Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Exactly what I needed, thank you. I'm going to try and find a new cable and solder it to the DIN. I've ordered replacement articulation ball and CMS switch shaft from a local 3D print company. I hope to be back in the air shortly.
