cronustr75 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 (edited) I want it to stay in sleep state and not showing menu on screen. It is very annoying.. How can I start DCS without bothering the Oculus program? But I want to use Rift S. Edited August 27, 2019 by cronustr75
Bob_Bushman Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Two ways. Stop the Oculus vr service in task manager, services. Or launch DCs with "dcs.exe --force_disable_VR" Obviously this means playing in 2d. The Oculus software us how the computer knows how to use your device, it takes care of everything that makes VR work. Without these services and program's running in the background a VR headset is nothing more than a blindfold if a paper weight. i7 8700k @ 4.7, 32GB 2900Mhz, 1080ti, CV1 Virpil MT-50\Delta, MFG Crosswind, Warthog Throttle, Virptil Mongoost-50 throttle.
cromhunt Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 with the skatezilla interface https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 you can launch DCS with or without the oculus VR with a simple click in the menu

dburne Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 Oculus requires Home to be running when launching VR with a Rift. I just minimize it. When you launch a game the Home fades out to gray, so it does not use a lot of resources whilst gaming. With the newer version of Oculus Home I don't see Home fade anymore...I just minimize as you say.
