pepin1234 Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 As tittle show. I always have this question. As IRL could be possible. Did you test this? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FoxAlfa Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Since the KH-66 is a beam-riding missile it is highly unlikely there was a possibility of buddy guidance... ------- All the people keep asking for capabilities to be modelled.... I want the limitations to be modelled.... limitations make for realistic simulation. Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a bit you realize the pig likes it. TeamMaximus Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 The Kh-23 is the command guidance via radio version of the Grom missile family, while as previously stated, the Kh-66 is the beam riding version. = Hardware: MSI MPG Z790 EDGE WiFi MB, i9-13900K @ 4.3GHz, 64GB DDR5, NVidia RTX 4090 24GB DDR6X, 2TB M.2 970 EVO Plus, 1TB SSD 850 EVO, Windows 11 Pro, HP Reverb G2, Tobii Head Tracker, TM Warthog HOTAS, TM F/A-18C Grip, TM Viper TQS Mission Pack, CH Pro Pedals. pepin1234 Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 Anyway I was thinking if the buddy come in the same line path and with same freq settings this guidance could be possible with good team coordination. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kang Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Good question whether or not that possibility is modelled in our DCS MiG, but I also can't quite see how it would be useful, really. I mean, sure your launch vehicle and move off the run, but what good does that do if you need a basically identical one to do it instead?
