Hey brothers,

Is there any way to assign the F18 antenna to the Cougar Antenna axis?

The DCS setup controls doesn't seem to to see that Cougar axis?

Strange .. my DCS sees that Axis as JOY_RX (tough I use it as rudder Axis rather than antenna, as I dont own rudder pedals)

How does dcs identity the antenna axis in the setup? I don’t see it listed by that name?

I havent seen an Axis defined for antenna elevation on the Hornet, on my profile I use keybindings to control the antenna, like this:

To Use keybindings on a Cougar rotary, instead of doing it on DCS control setup, I use Foxy to define it, using these sentences:

Rem ################################################
Rem Range Pot : Radar Elevation
Rem ################################################

RNG 5 3 (0 45 55 100) (/H Radar_Elevation_Control-Up) ^ (/H Radar_Elevation_Control-Down)

Thanks.

That’s a digital assignment though and I seek non digital. With that digital statement I have to return the rotary to the center null band to stop antenna movement.

I prefer to have the position of the rotary dictate where the antenna elevation is.

So does anyone know how the antenna axis is named in the sim controller setup? Cause I don’t see it.

Mower,

The name of control is "Radar elevation control":

Thanks .. will give it a try to see how it works with my Cougar, the F-18 has so many bindings that I hadnt noticed it :)

OK, tried it and it works the same way my digital axis worked, that is, the position of the rotary does not dictate where the antenna elevation is, and it has to be returned to the mid position to stop the antenna on its current elevation.

However, it does provide a slower and more controllable movement of the antenna elevation, so I'm keeping it and will update my Profile to reflect that .. thanks a lot for the tip :)

Best regards
