DPS Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Has anyone else seen the pilotless airplane that flies around at Belbek Air Base, otherwise known as the phantom of the Saitek rudder pedals: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_lKq0v8o820 First thing this morning I fired up Lock On to try a mission (my first in months) with my brand new pedals. Turning left out of the parking area my pedals jammed at full travel and my kite came to rest against a conveniently placed hardened aircraft shelter. I then hit Ctrl+EEE to investigate my pedals. To add insult to injury my trusty A-10 set off by itself. Does anyone know a quick fix for jammed Saitek pedals? There’s nothing on the web, the vendor is 350 miles away and it doesn’t look like Saitek are going to phone me back. DPS.

Force_Feedback Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 It went back to hell, or... almost, still some thousands of kilometers to go. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
monotwix Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 In Lock-On Russia, autopilot flies you. I would order one but what if it breaks and no one knows how to fix it? I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
jonob66 Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Check out the Saitek Forums. I've seen mention of this problem before (the pedals jamming, not lockon ghosts). http://www.saitekforum.com/index.php The support team are pretty good and they should respond to any message you post there. I had a dodgy cable that connected the Throttle to the Joystick and they sent me a replacement free. Update: I checked their forum, it seems to be a common problem. You should contact them at techsupport@saitek.com. They have a fix for it and are changing the design to prevent it happening. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
DPS Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 The splendid tech chappie at Saitek just phoned and emailled a pdf with the fix. That's what I would call good after-care service  It's not on their web site yet, so if anyone needs a copy I'll post it on mine. DPS.
DPS Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 I’ve posted a copy of the rudder pedal fix that the very helpful tech chappie at Saitek sent me on the front page of my site: http://www.dpsflight.com/ Look for the link to the pdf under the Russian flag. If you give them a call they will send the mod (four plastic triangles) to you in the post. 10 out of 10 for customer service I’d say. DPS.
