I get the autoplay screen and then click install all it does make my cd spin and you can see the green light process but after about 6 to 7 seconds it just stops and does not do anything else!

How far into the install did it go before you recieved error messages?

Error code 3 refers on corrupted files.

You can also try the users accounts steerage to deactivate. The repairs many problems during installation on Vista.

Roger that yeah im having another issue with my Counter Strike Source and it wont install eighter. Thankfully STEAM had a free downloadable version since STEAM already know my purchase and has it on record. Im in a clan so i have my score saved all the time and all other sort.

Hey thereminqblank ill do that and see if it works and it should work since its off harddrive and not the cd player which is some how linked in not working together with Vista! Other games install just fine... the one that just came out!

I try to load it to my HDD or desktop, it goes and then it stops after 1 or 2 minutes and says " Unable to read from source" meaning it cannot continue copying for some reason! WOW what the F@#$ is going on? VISTA being retarded or my cd rom ?

Hi,

If you're getting "Cyclic Redundacy check", this means that your CD/DVD-drive cannot read the disk (or part of the disk). This may be due to scratches or normal tear & wear or the reader being just to sensitive. You might want to try and read/install from your DVD-writer (if you have a separate one). If that doesn't work, you can try and build an old CD-reader or -writer in your computer and try with that. I've had the same problems when I last build my new computer with a brand new DVD-reader (with data disks, not with LOFC), then I temporarily build in a ten year old CD-writer and I can read the CD's just fine. If you get to a point where you can read the complete disk, be sure to make a copy of the CD. Of course, you can also try to run/copy the CD on another computer (if you still have your old computer, or find a buddy that lets you try that).

Good luck

Before i had my laptop and i had the cd player in my laptop and the external dvdrw cd player as an upgrade for speed. When i installed the LOMAC and FC they worked fine, but i did have the starforce problem when i ran the Lock On and FC on my DVDRW/CDrom player. My laptop for some reason recognized that i had the cd in and ran it but some times it had the same problem as my DVDRW player!

In conclusion i think i just need to get new cd player actually installed inside my computer? Any suggestions on which one i should get? Or there any other solutions? I can go out and buy a new CD player to try it out and return if it dont work :D:D:D

Just to make things clear in my last post is that it installed just fine on my laptop both LOMAC and FC. I never had a problem of my installation not completing, unlike my new PC. My New PC has the external DVDRW/CDROM drive that i used with my laptop.
