To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

To BUILD One is Something.

Indeed, Zulu. I was stunned when I saw it during 2009's Le Bourget. Not happy with just impressing us, towards the end of the display the pilots do a beautiful knife-edge pass. I was speechless :shocking:

About MiG-31 crash landing from the comments to this video.

The accident occurred at night 5/31-6/1/2005 during landing. The crew ejected, but because of the low altitude, both received minor injuries and were hospitalized. Initially versions of accident cause associated with deterioration of equipment (the aircraft has flown 20 years) and pilot error (in excess of the angle of attack and touch the ground by nozzles).

The main cause of the accident is called a manufactured factory flaw in the chassis. After touching the runway at the speed of 200 km/h left landing gear collapsed. This led to a hard turn, breaking right gear, and breaching of integrity of fuel systems and aircraft takes fire.

Tech. Sgt. Matthew Freeman does an operational check of panoramic night vision goggles Monday, March, 6, 2006. The new goggles give pilots a 90-degree view. The 355th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron was chosen for the first operational use of the $65,000 devices because of the low-altitude mission of the unit's A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft. Adjustment of the panoramic goggles is simplified with the use of snap-on diopter lenses. These lenses allow easy front-focus adjustment before and during flight. Sergeant Freeman is from of Tucson, Ariz., and deployed from Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Lance Cheung)
