Namenlos Ein Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Borei Class [i MG]http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/3912/st-fazer.b/0_3f6a8_2b787f77_XL.jpg[/img] Nope. This is an Akula class. For comparison.
104th_Cobra Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Interesting, a Borey class with its predecessor Typhoon class in the background. Nope. This is an Akula class. For comparison. An Akula class attack submarine. Look at the towed array on the vertical fin. And it looks like the photo from Marcos was taken from a Typhoon. The missile hatch doors are visible. NOLA Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Yeah, carefull with mixing things here. NATO/Russian designations are following: Typhoon/Akula Akula/Shuka Totally different subs with different jobs. And that picture can hardly be used for comparison. Borei is in fact almost as long as Typhoon. Edited January 18, 2013 by NOLA
