Heli Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 22 Mar 1956 at Edwards Air Force Base - A Boeing B-29 mother ship lost the Number 4 engine at 31,000 feet while carrying a Douglas D-558-II to launch altitude. The engine “ran away” at high RPM during a feathering attempt, forcing the pilot to jettison the rocket research plane just before the engine disintegrated, damaging the Number 3 engine, sliced through the fuselage and then striking the Number 2 engine. Jack McKay safely landed the Skyrocket while the B-29 crew made a safe 2-engine landing on Rogers Dry Lake. https://www.facebook.com/EdwardsAirForceBase/photos/pb.139549732762631.-2207520000.1458661561./1101140236603571/?type=3&theater D-558-2

mvsgas Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 N64TaT60bqA To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Emu Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Pretty intense strike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NXSj4bf1hU Sorry to interrupt with question, but what weapons were those?
DUSTY Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 (edited) Really hard to tell but my money is on 500lb GBU-38s judging by the size of the building and the fact that they dropped two per DMPI. Oh and it looks like a US Navy F/A-18 pod camera and they seem to rarely carry anything larger than 500lbers for the sorts of Offensive Air Support mission they are flying.
