Hey folks.

Im trying to get the hang of this hornet and I've run into an issue during cold starts that is driving me bananas. After ground or CV alignment is done on the INS, I go to box waypoint, seq1, and auto to set up my nav systems for flight. Only Auto wont box. Any ideas? I have let the alignment run for anywhere from 3 to 4 minutes, .5 ok is presented on the display, and nothin.

HALP!

The INS alignment is currently WIP. Now I don't know if that is the root cause of your issue (have never used AUTO mode personally), but maybe it helps:

After the alignment has completed and you have put the switch to NAV, do the following on the HSI:

1) Press WPDSG

2) Press UPDT

3) Press DSG

4) Press ACPT

5) Press the NWS button on your HOTAS.

Now the INS is properly aligned and maybe AUTO will work now. Note that this is a workaround for the current WIP implementation of the INS alignment and is not how it should work normally. Also be advised that the names of the HSI-functions I listed above might be a bit different actually, because I just listed them from memory.

Auto won’t work until you’ve started moving. I don’t know if that’s realistic or a bug, but you should be able to box it once you’ve taxied to the runway

In addition to the above, the INS is very much WIP right now and the alignment countdown to 0.5 OK is too fast. For proper alignment, let it align for at least 1m30s. The map picture will also change when it's done, it'll center on your actual position and face your heading.
