amperasand Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 I am having issues with the MP server. The list doesn't look right. It looks like it doesn't populated properly. I am coming bak after a couple of months away, but I dont see hardly any servers? Also, I'm not able to connect to server using a direct connection. I have the right details (via discord for growling sidewinder server) and it just comes up with server is offline. Obviously this is incorrect. The server is def up? Do I need to do anything with my router? Not sure what is going on TBH
QuiGon Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Sounds like your DCS installation is not up to date. What version are you on? Current version for Open Beta as well as Stable Release can be seen here: http://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

amperasand Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Are there different server lists? I have a shadow, which is a virtual machine running on a fast server so I can play on max settings without a 1080. https://shadow.tech/gben The DCS server list is the same on my shadow, so it's nothing to do with my local configuration. If the DCS server list is accurate, then DCS MP has gone way downhill in just a couple of months. I can't even see Growling Sidewinders public server? Is it to do with my account? I have no idea what is going on here. I have attached a screenshot of the server list, so you can see how crap it is. also here: https://ibb.co/88qdjLF

But I am pretty sure it's not my local config as I'm getting the same list from my shadow - which is a VM running from a separate location. So, the only thing it can be is something to do with my account - or maybe DCS MP is not as good as it used to be. But I don't think this is the case. I should be seeing at least the growling sidewinder public server? I attached an image of the list I see a couple of messages back, check it out - is this the same as yours? Do you see the Growling Sidewinder public server? Edited October 10, 2019 by amperasand

QuiGon Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 2.5.5.35461 - attached image, just to be sure. As BIGNEWY said, the Growling Sidewinder server (as well as most of the popular servers) run on the open beta. So it actually is your version that is the issue ;) Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
