DmitriKozlowsky Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 It would be a nice detail touch to add to DCS 'RBF red tags', aka Red Tag Sale, on parked aircraft , prepped for mission. An additional Ground Crew instruction would be 'Remove red tags'. That would separate from 'Pull Chocks' ground crew command. Upon issue of tag order, the red tags from pitot tube, other air data sensors, and ground safety pins from munitions, would be pulled. Then pilot can command "Pull Chocks'. Speaking of chocks 'Chief, remove wheel chocks' should be replaced with 'Pull chocks' brevity. http://tinyurl.com/y6srceeg
Kang Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 If I'm not mistaken some planes come with red tags as well as engine and inlet covers when they are uncontrolled (as in, no pilot). So for some types at least the models and textures are there.
DmitriKozlowsky Posted November 12, 2019 Author Posted November 12, 2019 The red tags covering air data sensors, intake covers, exaust covers, have to be removed before engine start. RBF tags on weapons are removed after engine start, but before chalks. Those are ground safeties, and are a separate system apart from on-board Master Arm/Safety system. Chalks are removed last. Ground crew director then signals the pilot that he is clear to taxi.
