wraith70 Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Not sure if this an F-16 issue or not, but place an F-16 anywhere, in the air on the Nevada map. Change the weather to anything other than 'Default Weather' and the HUD is all messed up..or offset. The attached screenshot is summer with heavy thunderstorms. Day or night doesn't matter. Flight path marker will center when at 0 degrees heading. Is this a known bug for just the F-16 on this map? No issues on the PG map. https://imgur.com/a/QQ8hZWh
Cytarabine Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 What direction is the wind coming from and how strong?
Frederf Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 That's correct behavior, or appears to be. The FPM shows the INS velocity vector and the pitch ladder goes with it.
Dee-Jay Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 Hi! Is this a known bug for just the F-16 on this map? No issues on the PG map. https://imgur.com/a/QQ8hZWh This is indeed not a bug at all (depending on present wind of course!). Regards. wraith70 Posted November 18, 2019 Author Posted November 18, 2019 Try the "drift c/o" button on the ICP This does re-align it. Thanks. Turns out that the wind is the culprit.
BuzzU Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 It's better to leave it as is so you can tell what the wind is doing. Buzz
