ghost84 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Today I have finished the campaign successfully, and now I would like to give some feedback. First, let me thank you for making this campaign. I had many enjoyable hours playing it. You need to know your Huey well to fly it safely through the tougher missions. Now to my suggestions: Please fix those many, MANY(!) spelling mistakes in the written radio calls. They were really annoying to me. Wilcow? Rodger? A good testing bear? Sometimes the radio call text disappears to early, before the speaker voice has finished. This happens primarly on longer radio calls. The volume level of some few recordings are very low, so you can't understand them. Sometimes I had problems following the commands from Peter, because they weren't clear enough to me. For example: One time Peter told me to "stay right above the street". For non-native speakers like me this could easly be interpreted with "right of and above the street" instead of "direct above the street". Or: "Take off again and land on the bridge in front of us." said Peter to me and meant the northern bridge. This was a problem, because on the previous approach i decided to land into the wind, heading south. So i flew to the southern bridge and nothing happened there. Use the ICAO radiotelephony manual doc 9432 for realistic ATC phraseology. I didn't feel well when I was descending through that thick layer of clouds. Is that realistic in military operations? I don't know it, maybe someone else has some insight regarding this? And finally would it be great in a two-manned huey, when this LAZY co-pilot would change some frequencies, at least when airbourne. Just my 2 cents. Please continue making demanding missions for our lovely Huey! :joystick: Danke!

Just my 2 cents. Please continue making demanding missions for our lovely Huey! :joystick: Danke! Many thanks for your feedback. We already working on all Missions, eliminating spelling errors. So we keep an eye on the duration the messages appear as well. We also add markers to the F-10 Mapp for better orientation, besides the charts on the kneeboard, where all the LZ's already listed. We learned, that in some cases we expected too much. So we expect any player to land into the wind which clarifies following direction advises. This was our fault because of the missions sometimes :smilewink: challenging and the player does not have the wind in mind. So we give them credit and try to make it clear in upcoming campaigns. The Lazy pilot changes frequencies and switches light quite a lot during the flight. In real life, we aware of, it is his part alone. In DCS we transfer that some time to the player to keep him busy during waiting periods and for some education. :smartass: For the cloud breaking parts, we know there is a procedure if it happens unintended to climb up above the clouds. We are not sure when it comes to the other direction. Descending through the clouds may be necessary when you low of fuel in an emergency situation. But in the way described and preplanned like in mission 4 I believe it's highly likely. Always happy landings ;)
sirrah Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 To avoid even more threads with random feedback, I'll also add mine to this thread :) Just like Ghost did, let me thank you for taking the time to put this all together. As a beginner mission editor myself, I know how much work, effort and frustration goes into ME. Only did 3 missions so far and although I really hate complaining, as this is a paid DLC campaign, I just wanted to give some initial feedback and ask you a question. Overal: As Ghost already mentioned, please let someone check the spelling of those radio calls. English is not my mother tongue, but even for me some of the text was embarrassing :P The directions given in messages disappeared too soon (at least for me) The ingame briefing images could be better. I had trouble finding the correct landing zones on several occasions Mission 1: No comments Mission 2: Mission suddenly ended for no particular reason while sling-loading cargo over the small river (after that happened I checked here, only to see that many people have issues with this mission) Mission 3: It wasn't entirely clear to me where point LIMA was. Eventually I did find it though (might be my own fault, for not reading the entire briefing carefully enough When I landed on the bridge in the combat zone, I got hit by civil traffic and died.. Obviously I could have set civil traffic to off, but that kinda takes away immersion. Also, the missions should be feasible in disregard to what graphic settings people use imo. So, 2 out of three missions didn't work out for me unfortunately. Of course I'll continue with the rest, but I was wondering... Will you still be working on this campaign? Like, will some of the problems people are sharing here be solved and will we be able to download an updated version of this campaign at some point? (I'm honestly asking because I'm not sure how this works with DLC campaigns) System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

(I'm honestly asking because I'm not sure how this works with DLC campaigns) Many thanks for your feedback, Unfortunate we can't administrate this whole thread, by ourselves, so it is getting a little bit confused. So most of your questions already answered. But no problem. We are sorry for the many spelling issues in the written radio calls and working already on eliminating as many as possible. Thanks to gohst84 we aware of the "time displayed" issue as well and checking all the calls for that as well. Your problem with mission 2 is a time issue, related to WOLF 1 AI. The Ai is drifting into the river which is a DCS problem. In the Campaign, documentation is this separately addressed. Unfortunate the Documentation is actually not part of the download, so we released it here on the Forum and on our DISCORD. Mission 2 Actual you have 8 minutes time for the 2. transport task or you may choose to skip that task according to the documentation  After the next update, the time available for that task will be increased to 10 minutes. Without placing an ugly heliport it is not possible to expand that time even more. Mission 3 and all others. On the Kneeboard you find all the information during the flight. Using the left-pointing arrow for navigation you get their direct without skipping all the other info there. In the next update: We also add markers to the F-10 map, in addition to the maps on the Kneeboard :smilewink: to improve navigation. Planed LZ's will appear from the beginning, all others during the flight. Do not hesitate to express your opinions. We take all critics as support to make the actual campaign even better. I hope you have fun flying mission 2 again :music_whistling: and of cause with all the others as well. Edited November 27, 2019 by CHPL Always happy landings ;)
sirrah Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Just finished mission 4 Whew, that was a long one! Nice mission though  Some feedback: On two occasions the copilot is indicating that it is getting late/dark, but instead it is morning time and it's actually getting lighter :P When descending through the clouds the player receives additional instructions. Only problem is, I need to keep my eyes on my instruments so I don't crash, the messages are only showing for like 3 seconds and the audio voice is difficult to hear/understand When the bridge is blown up, it causes a crater texture that is spiking into the air (due to not being on a flat surface) System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
