Reflected Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 I'm trying to repaint the Triconderoga to have the USS Valley Forge, CG-50. I only want to change the name and the number. Can somebody please point out where the original texture file is? I'm a bit lost. Thanks in advance! Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Reflected Posted November 22, 2019 Author Posted November 22, 2019 Also, the description.lua only has this line: custom_args = { [66]= 0.9 } How do I make it use my own skin? Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Grimes Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 The way several ships texture work is that they use the same base texture and then have draw arguments setup to display a specific ship name. So in this case it is just using argument 66 and a value of 0.9 to pick whichever is about the 9th ship name listed. For the textures themselves you can find them in install/Bazar/textures/NAVY_textures.rar and they are the tico names and tico numbers files. Pretty much the only reason why more ships aren't included is because the way the numbers file is setup is incredibly stupid and it is incredibly annoying to setup the rest of the ships in the line. Alternatively you could just paint over the hull and set it up like a normal livery with just slightly bigger texture files. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Reflected Posted November 23, 2019 Author Posted November 23, 2019 @Grimes: thank you for the info, I thought it would be a messy business... @Urbi: wow, thank you so much! I tried it in game, looks brilliant. May I use it in one of my upcoming campaigns? Thanks again, both of you! Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
