Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 If you get hit and ALT-J to your wingman, you can see that when the AI takes over, it regains control of your stricken fighter (even if you lost a whole wing and are in flames) and goes on flying and fighting. I hate this.
Guest ThomasDWeiss Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 I forgot ... the same thing happens if you enter an unrecoverable spin - ALT-J and ... instant recovery! just go back to your fighter and resume flying.

SUBS17 Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 Stick forward, opposite rudder You know the Mig29 can recover itself sometimes. I heard of an Indian pilot losing control and ejecting only to find the aircraft recover and carry on flying lol.(not sure if it was a 29 or 27) The aircraft flew until it ran out of fuel and crashed. cheers Subs [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Kula66 Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 Re: A Lock On cheat I would like to see gone If you get hit and ALT-J to your wingman, you can see that when the AI takes over, it regains control of your stricken fighter (even if you lost a whole wing and are in flames) and goes on flying and fighting.I hate this. Agreed ... especially if you try <Alt><J> back again and it is now unflyanle again!! If the AI FM is so different from the 'piloted' FM doesn't this give the AI a big advantage in ACM??? I also hate takeoffs where your wingman zooms passed as you struggle to get airborne ... especially in the A-10! James
