The radar in ACM vert mode, despite it's name, still scans in horizontal snake pattern, so each complete area scan takes several seconds. In other aircraft, vertical scan means that the radar is scanning in a vertical pattern. shaHeen-1 Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Lol a horizontal scan living the vertical life. I'm not quite sure of how bad it is compared to the other planes but I'm sure it is worst in acquisition. How did you realize this btw?
