Anybody any ideas, game keeps crashing when in ME or when loading from ME. Haven;t tested further. Feel its something my end but not sure what exactly to do to fix it as been fine apart from this adter downloading recent hotfix to OB.

Hi Bagpipe

 

Can you attach your zip file that is created when you crash or the dcs log in full ( you can rename it to .txt to attach it here )

 

It should give us more clues

 

But also take a look at my crash advice below.

Above seems to be a common theme in the text file. I will try another repair and replace saved games files again. If it still happens i will upload files for tech support

Managed to get past the loading screen on the second attempt after rebuilding saved games files. Another mystery though seem to be getting an issue like this after every update. Not sure if it is the RTX GPUs which are not favoured by the engine or if it is something simpler? There seem to be alot of small graphical issues cropping up regularly with DCS which are not being addressed but that's for another day in another thread i reckon.

thanks for the issue it seems to be a memory issue

 

2019-12-07 21:02:59.750 ERROR DX11BACKEND: Can't create texture array ''. Reason: Not enough memory resources are available to complete this operation.

 

First thing I would do is go here F:\Documents\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta

 

delete your fxo and metashader2 folder ( DCS will create new ones next time you load and it will take a little longer )

 

I would also ensure your GPU driver is up to date.

 

Do you over clock your GPU?

 

I would have said check your pagefile is large enough but it seems fine.

GPU is not OC'd no and on latest GR drivers from NV. I delete fxo and meta after every update and run repair etc.

*Seems* to have sorted itself out now, another mystery. May be a driver issue.

Strange thing is it only happens when loading and not in game when the gpu is being utilised...

So after rebuilding saved games folder and a small windows 10 update (was up to date 2 days ago i am sure), i am not experiencing the problem and also seem to have gained extra performance in game as now have sim running SSAA x2 and MSAA applied via Profile inspector to x2 supersample rate and am running at a solid 60fps Vsync as opposed to 45fps before doing so.

 

So, whether it was a windows issue or just a buildup of conflicting files in the saved games folder, something has worked!
