With HUD as SOI, a diamond appears near the top of the HUD. Pressing target lock should lock that diamond to the ground and steer CCRP solutions to it.

How does CCRP work in this? I get the bomb line and a little box but I've had the bomb release when I press the weapon release early. Do you have to manually time when to hit weapon release? Thats close enough for gbus but not dumb bombs.

Just hold weapon release whenever. Eventually the box will crawl down the vertical ASL. When it reaches the velocity vector, the ordinance should release

Thats what I expected but I had it release way early and fall very short.

How did you designate the target? If you used the AG radar, it's not super accurate and likely won't be until we get EXP/DBS modes.

Also, when you say it released early, did it release before the box hit the VV, or did it release on time, but fell short?

I used the laser. And I pressed the weapon release as soon as the cue started moving down the line and the bomb released as soon as I pressed the release well before the vv. The gbu 2 tried to fly to the trget but couldn't quite make it.

There seems to be a bug with the diamond in the HUD. I can only slew it 2 ways very slowly. you should be able to slew it in the HUD..

JF-17's CCRP mode is slightly different from other a/c's design AFAIK.

when using dumb bombs, it's same as others: you need to hold pressing the pickle and the bomb will be released when that small box moves down passing the FPM symbol.

when using laser guided bombs however, it will release the bomb whenever you press the pickle just like in CCIP. The small box is just providing you with timing reference. This actually gives you a release window, which allow finer trajectory control of the bomb. (slightly early-release has better chance of seeker acquiring laser spot but will have a shallow trajectory while slightly late-release risks missing the laser spot but can achieve higher impact angle which may deal higher damage to some targets)

This is possible. I was dropping dumb bombs when I used CCRP. It's possible GBU's are different
