Chelco Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 Seems not yet released on DVD/BluRay. Hi Shagrat. Thanks for your response. I guess we will have to wait. Real and Simulated Wars
shaHeen-1 Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Are they dogfighting with drop tanks? Embarassing. If only they'd waited and used dcs for their combat scenes.
AeriaGloria Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 I think the effects are pretty good. I think the fault of certain realistic things like jettisoning empty tanks in an emergency and that somehow the fight only happens at point blank range(which many aviation movies are guilty of) rests with the director and storyboarder. The guy that did the VFX was probably given a story board with all of this planned out, then had director or supervisor guidance on finishing touches like “make the planes closer because the audience will think it looks cool and it’s weird anyway looking at dots and not knowing what’s going on” “wouldn’t it be cool if he drops the tanks and they blow up like bombs and attract the missile on his six” or “hey don’t turn the missile smoke off I like the missile smoke and plus the audience has to see the missile it looks more.... threatening that way... yeah and make sure the fire plume is big!” I think it’s always possible to compromise for more realism in this industry, I’m just saying that’s how things like this end up. Wonder where they got the HSD display. Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
