jterr Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 I'm really getting frustrated here with setting up my Hotas X. I've read and looked at all I can find but nothing seems to work. Question 1: Do I have to set it up for each aircraft? Only have the 2 that comes with download, not buying anything till I get this resloved. Question 2: How do I control/adjust the rudder/steering on the throttle? Also when I actually try a flight seems to go good for a short then everything/controls start acting out of control. Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreaciated. Also this stick worked great in FSX and CFS
draconus Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 (edited) A1: Yes. But some things may be configured for you already (default profile). A2: When using the rocker switch as an axis you can control the rudder. Make sure the commands are assigned only to one axis/device to avoid crosscontrols. You do all that in options > control setup > choose aircraft on top left > then choose axis setup. slikbaz Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Ok tahe rudder seems to work now just need to calm it down some. Thanks Click on the Axis Tune button and you can set a curve from there, may help with sensitivity.
jackd Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 (edited) I found with WW2 planes you almost always have to set Autorudder to on .... and indeed spend time on tuning the axis curves .. Edited May 2, 2023 by jackd
