lwalter Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here. When not using the TGP and just slewing a steerpoint as the target, I can release bombs. When using the TGP and point tracking a target, bombs don't release when the release cue goes down through my velocity vector. Initially, I thought my velocity vector wasn't well aligned on the release line, but even when perfectly aligned nothing happens (and yes, I start pushing and keeping the release button pushed when the release countdown is at 10 seconds). Is there something more to do when targeting with the TGP that I missed? iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, i7 4 GHz, 32 GB RAM, AMD R9 M395X 4 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog | Cougar MFD | MFG Crosswind | EDTracker Pro | Realteus ForceFeel DCS World | Bf109 | Fw190 A8/D9 | P47 | P51 | Spitfire | I16 | C101 | L39 | F86F | MiG15 | MiG19 | MiG21 | FC3 | A10C | AJS37 | AV8BNA | F5 | F14 | F16 | F/A18 | M2000 | JF17 | Christen Eagle | Yak52 | SA342 | UH1H | Mi8 | Ka50 | Combined Arms | NS430 | Persian Gulf | Normandy | Channel | Syria | NTTR | WWII Assets
HayMak3r Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 I use the tgp all the time, and have yet to see this. I will test today, and try to report back. lwalter Posted December 26, 2019 Author Posted December 26, 2019 Just to make sure: is Master Arm on? Yes, both master arm and laser switches were on With the TGP, I slew the cross over my target and pushed TMS UP for point track. Should I also add something like a TMS UP LONG as on the A10C to make it the SPI before releasing the bombs? I didn't mention that the bombs I managed to release in CCRP were plain MK82s, where as the ones that I couldn't drop were GBU laser bombs? Could that be a reason? iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, i7 4 GHz, 32 GB RAM, AMD R9 M395X 4 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog | Cougar MFD | MFG Crosswind | EDTracker Pro | Realteus ForceFeel DCS World | Bf109 | Fw190 A8/D9 | P47 | P51 | Spitfire | I16 | C101 | L39 | F86F | MiG15 | MiG19 | MiG21 | FC3 | A10C | AJS37 | AV8BNA | F5 | F14 | F16 | F/A18 | M2000 | JF17 | Christen Eagle | Yak52 | SA342 | UH1H | Mi8 | Ka50 | Combined Arms | NS430 | Persian Gulf | Normandy | Channel | Syria | NTTR | WWII Assets
TOViper Posted December 26, 2019 Posted December 26, 2019 Should I also add something like a TMS UP LONG as on the A10C to make it the SPI before releasing the bombs? I never did a long press on TMS up. Just short, and everything is fine (at least on my installation). I didn't mention that the bombs I managed to release in CCRP were plain MK82s, where as the ones that I couldn't drop were GBU laser bombs? Could that be a reason? Thats odd, thinking about it, but currently I have no more ideas except for this one (due to an experience with my F-14 last week): Which version is your DCS, and which version is your F-16C module? I had two different versions (in my case DCS was newer than the F-14 version). I noticed this by accident in my DCS.log while hunting a bug in my mission code. I have recently switched my (Steam) release version to beta version. I thought it was a global operation. TOViper Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 Do you have to update the plane modules separately? Normally, and according to HB's programmer no. But on my disk during the update of Openbeta I had this (don't know why). I posted it here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=257993 Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G 4.4 GHz | NVIDIA RTX 3080 10GB | 32 GB 3.2 GHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TRP | Rift CV1
Sierra99 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Good question. I have recently switched my (Steam) release version to beta version. I thought it was a global operation. Do you have to update the plane modules separately? OK I know this might sound silly but have you checked all of your device mappings to make sure your buttons are mapped correctly? I switch back and forth between 3 versions and sometimes find I can't " do" something because I don't have a button or switch mapped in the version I am currently using.
