Why should they? If you apply an pitch up command you definitely don't want it to cease on its own. If it's self-centering it's like an arcade game.

If you look in the outside view you see that the horizontals are staying in the position that you input them but in real time you have to keep the horizontals pitched up.....

 

It fly's a lot better i can tell you.

Ahh ok. Yes this is normal for keyboard. Do yourself a favour and get even a cheap joystick. Keyboard is a waste of time imho.
