51GRIZZLY Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Can anyone tell me what causes this strange Cloud behavior .... So far i have changed driver 2 times and reinstalled LOmac/FC 2 times to no avail and im slowly STARTING TO GO DESPERATE !!!!! I made a Video Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGcpNgn4R6I Any help would be appreciated
S77th-GOYA Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Have you tried older drivers? It seems like newer ones have lost optimizations for LOMAC.
51GRIZZLY Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 I updated from 163.75 ( wich had no problem running FC ) to 169.04 Beta from Nvidias Homepage but it caused a strange flicker in the sky over the airfield so i uninstalled it Cleaned all Driver components, and Cab out with Driver Cleaner in Safemode, then i ran a registry cleanout and installed 163.75 again. As you can see that didnt help.
rattler Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Have you a cloud mod, installed? If so uninstall and reinstall. If not you may have to reinstall Lockon. Looks like the cloud generator is caught in a loop. Sorry can't be of more help.
51GRIZZLY Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 I have no mods installed ATM and the strange thing is when im spawning on the Tarmac and look into the sky the clouds dont flicker. They only flicker when i start rolling and take off
Sytse Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Maybe it's normal for that kind of zoom... you're zoomed out pretty far in that video... Haven't seen this sort of thing myself though... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Red Arrows homepage
504Goon Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 The contrails tend to flicker every now and then when zoomed out.. but i have never seen any behaviour like that with the clouds. When did the problem start, and did you make any changes prior to that? 504th CO http://www.vvs504.co.uk
51GRIZZLY Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 Today i got a tip from the German Forums to roll further back to Driver v.162.18 .... AND IT WORKED!! No more flicker, so those of you with 7XXX Nvidia cards be carefull with what Driver you install.
