JUICE-AWG Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Hi there, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get DCS to take my controls settings Lua files and read it only from the Saved Games folders. Currently, I have to copy and paste my modified Lua files for F/A-18C, F-16C, and Headtracking after each update. I know JSGME and other Mod Manager files would do it, but could there be a way to make it so that the Saved Games folder is where primary controls are saved and drawn from in game. Please help me understand this better, thanks! =JUICE= "There are only two types of aircraft, Fighters and Targets." Doyle "Wahoo" Nicholson [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Buzzles Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 Replicate the same mods folder structure. DCS treats things in Saved Games as overrides. I'm curious though, which files are you actually editing? Depending on the one, you can just create .diff.lua files (exactly like DCS does) in the correct places in 'Saved Games/DCS/Config/Input/[module]/' if you're just tweaking the actual input lua files. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 2, 2020 ED Team Posted January 2, 2020 DCS Saved games location is where all user saves and mods should go. Editing the core sim and controls is not recommended.
