[CANNOT REPRODUCE] CMDS keeps firing flares/chaff until empty

One press, no matter the settings of the CMDS system, causes continuous chaff/flare release until low (20) then another press takes it to zero.

This appears to be a bug in the stable version, and the open beta is fixed. For those of us boring people who fly the stable version, this makes dogfights unwinnable.

I guess wait until the next stable update for beta features to be sent down the pipeline?

Are you sure you're pressing the hotas command and not the panic button?
+1 definitely check your bindings as this has been an issue with other users.

I use the open beta version and it's also bugged. Altering the CMDS file changes nothing. Any program in manual mode dumps the same, dual fares, chaff until it's down to 20.

I'm using the default keyboard "Insert" key. Is this the panic button? If so, which is the default key I should be using?

Thanks guys, the "Insert" key was the panic button. I mapped that to the CMS Forward and it now runs the manual settings made in the plane. Now my question is what file controls the settings that are loaded into the plane, because it isn't loading what I have saved in the CMDS_ALE47.lua file?

Edit: CMS file changes are being loaded into the plane. All looks good. :)

Once they implemented the ability to edit the programs within the ICP the ability to edit the programs in the lua file stopped working. Not sure why. Perhaps the code changed? I haven't had time to go back through the file so I ended up using the ICP lol. You get pretty fast after a few dozen cold starts.

I have to amend my previous post. My CMS file changes are now working. I'm new to this, so I don't know why, but the CMS file changes are loading into the plane. :)

Cancel what I said then I'll have to give it another try.
