ebabil Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 During night refueling, i don't have much problem with hornet since it has a probe. But with viper, i need to keep an eye on the lights beneath the tanker. If i turn on my nvg, i can not see my red position lights so i can not understand wheter i am in position. If i turn off nvg, then i can't see anything so i loose my sense of position like i am in the space. What should i do and which method i should make practise with? Sephroth Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 I personally don't use nvg's during refueling at night. I do use VR though. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

DerekSpeare Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 Use your NVG...night refueling is hard enough as it is. I don't like the low gain setting. You have to really watch the position lights. TonyG Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Another VR user....I don’t use NVGs for tanking the Viper at night. Easy to see the lights and make input changes to stay in position. 9800X3D, MSI 5080 , G.SKILL 64GB DDR5-6000, Win 11, MSI X870, 2/4TB nVME, Quest 3, OpenHornet Pit
