What functions will be available for the player on the Burke? Flight deck control? the weapon systems (SAMs)? Or is it just a nice AI controlled ship where you can land with chopper?

I hope at least we'll get updated weapons for it to use, even as an AI unit.

At the moment we only have the SM-2MR with an old model without it's limited AShM mode as well as the BGM-109.

The SM-3 isn't really relevant (not until the SCUD gets implemented) and will be a lot of work so I'd hold off on that. This kinda holds true for the RUM-139 VL-ASROC (though that changes once torpedoes become a thing). But what about the RIM-162 ESSM? and the RIM-174 Standard ERAM? (SM-6).

Going further, could we have the option to customise the loadout in the Mission Editor for Mk41 VLS

What about having the Phalanx CIWS? At the moment it fires an unknown mix of ammunition with rainbow tracers, in reality it fires untraced APDS ammunition (MK149 or MK244 APDS)

What about SRBOC?

What about torpedoes? Even if it's fitted-for-but-not-with at this stage?

This isn't really something for the Burke but what about the RGM-84? Which in DCS is currently designated the AGM-84S for some reason and also has a pretty old model.

I'm also hoping for a detailed hangar, animated flight support crew, flight related comms with the ship,...

And then, eventually, in a not-to-distant future, a dedicated naval helicopter (SH/MH-60) to operate from the Arleigh Burkes.

+1

While that is true, i'd like a bit more control over it Cold Waters style kind of layout.

Could be a used as a stepping stone for ships in the CA addon too.
